am not a medical professional. Anything I say on this blog reflects my personal experience with my type one diabetes diagnosis. Nothing I say here should ever be taken as professional, medical advice, and I am not responsible for any decisions your or your loved ones make based off of my experiences. That being said, I hope some of this helps somebody out there somewhere. Stay strong!
Anything anything anything. You are not any different from someone who doesn't have this disease. Type one diabetes is not limiting on your personal food choice, all you have to do is take the insulin for it. If you are going to eat 100g+ carbs per meal, I recommend getting a CGM. Dexcom, Freestryle Libre, really whatever works best for you and your insurance.
yeah
Since my diagnosis I've been pretty back and forth on what this has been like for me. In the beginning and even now, it never bothered me. To me it was just another thing to deal with daily, I'm not disabled in any other way but I was immediately used to it. This is abnormal, but as the months and months have gone on, Diabetes has caught up to me in a few ways.
